Chemistry is an incredibly fascinating field of study because it plays a role in everyone’s lives and touches almost every aspect of our existence. In this era of cutting edge technology, it is imperative to provide scientific knowledge to students and budding scientists with abilities to discussion, critical thinking, and analysis. The Department of Chemistry constantly strives to achieve the aforesaid objectives. Each of our faculty members is ready and willing to work independently in their research domain. The Department got covered under the ‘Star College Scheme’ by DBT, Govt. of India in 2019. Under this scheme, the department has received grant for upgrading existing lab facilities and purchase of new equipment. The department offers under-graduate (B.Sc.) & post-graduate programme (M.Sc-chemistry). We ensure that our students experience a mix of academic and co-curricular activities we endeavour to provide hands on experience to our students in our well equipped laboratories. We believe that accentuating these areas will make our students well qualified to capture good positions in various leading industries and research institutions in the future.
